Frequently Asked Questions

What inspires your work?

Desperation and the Uncanny. I believe desperation is just before the moral decline of others. It is a maddening concept to crave something outside of your willpower and it is a feeling that postpones judgment because we know it as well. The Uncanny emphasis the Desperation, to embrace the unknown in order to possibly have your desires is a broad idea that tests our moral limits. I like to test those limits.

Why are there so many religious entities in your work?

While I am a Christian, I have always been interested in other religions/beliefs/mythologies. I love comparing figural similarities and the elements of storytelling. Religion gives my work a foundation before I craft a world and since morality is a common theme in my work, religion gives my stories multiple perspectives.

Why are your poems written with unmodern language?

A Reoccurring Question! I mimic the classics in my poetry, so I am creating a literal and figurative scene for the reader to analyze. I find it easier to do this with old English terms and sentence structure. This is a major reason I highly recommend purchasing my poetry book; a physical copy allows you to annotate and compare poems with a flip of a page.

How long does it take you to complete a project?

For now, Iā€™d say it takes me an entire year to finish the work and another six months to proof/edit and approve of it. I work full-time so the fatigue is a repetitive issue. Hopefully, I will be able to make progress during work breaks.
